Narrow alleys lead up towards the majestic Mehrangarh Fort, crisscrossing, providing little breathing space for houses on either side. I found this elderly man picking up trash from the steps and alleys leading up to the fort. Must say this is a very difficult job..

Narrow lanes with wall painted blue in the old city and the wide city roads lined with modern steel and concrete  structures , often with facades showing intricate sandstone designs.
